When my hair began to turn gray abundantly, a kindergartener pointed to my hair and said, "Mrs. Wheatley, you have silver highlights!" So, I'm not turning gray, I have Silver Highlights! And I'm a runner. This blog is about my adventures as a runner and asthmatic. Read on to follow my journey on my weekly runs and many races.

3.6 miles~~stretching out run
Today was an easy slow run to continue to stretch out our muscles. Luckily, I haven't been hurting too bad. I had two blisters on two toes from running the half marathon, but that was it! My legs weren't hurting too much, just a little tired from the long distance. Running a few days at an easy pace seems to be helping them feel better. I ran the 3.6 miles in 45 minutes, so it was just a slow run. I've also been lucky as far as my lungs go. My lungs have been doing well and not giving me problems. I realized a few weeks ago that in the last year and half that I have been running, I haven't had to call in sick to work AT ALL! That is a definite plus. I have taken days off, but I have not been sick. It makes all this hard work worth it.
