4.5 miles~~Breezy!

I got home from work and Chris was busy trying to mow the grass before the oncoming rainy weather.  He knew that if it rained, the grass would sprout like crazy, so he was hoping to get ahead of it.  I dressed quickly, and decided to wear a short sleeve shirt and a skort, which was a good idea since it was in the 70s.  I took down our US flag since it looked like it was going to rip off our post the way the wind was whipping it around.  

That wind kept me busy while running.  It literally pushed me backwards, sideways, every which way while I was running.  I definitely felt that while running which made today's run a harder one for me, but I guess sometimes you have these type of days.  I also started to get hungry and weak feeling.  I even ate some Triscuits at the end of the work day and ate an apple on the drive home.  I guess it just wasn't enough!

Due to all this, I just didn't run as well as I usually do.  Luckily, I made it home ok and ate a protein bar and drank my Acclerade.  I felt much better!  I have to remember to do better with nutrition on my running days!  I guess I really hadn't eaten much today~~ yogurt and a breakfast bar, then a frozen lasagna with yogurt, and the Triscuits and an apple.  

At least I learn something new every day!
